Knight Online Quest Guide: How the Quest System Works
In short: On ChromeKO, quests from level 1 to 80 are one-time or repeatable and reward EXP, Noah and items. You track them in the in-game quest list opened with Q, and the quests page shows each quest's giver, targets and rewards.
If you are looking for a Knight Online quest guide, quests are the most solid way to progress on ChromeKO. Quests reward EXP, Noah and items, and they also shape which areas you visit. In this guide we explain how the quest system works, how to use the quest list, and how to finish quests with less wasted time. To see the game for yourself, try it now as a guest without signing up.
Knight Online quest guide: how the quest system works
ChromeKO has quests from level 1 to 80. There are two kinds:
- One-time quests: You complete them once and they don't come back. They reward EXP, Noah and sometimes items.
- Repeatable quests: You can do them again and again. They are a steady source of income.
Each quest has a giver (an NPC), a target and a reward. You get the quest from its giver, complete the target, then return to hand it in and collect the reward. Rewards usually include EXP, Noah and some items.
To follow your quests, open the in-game quest list with the Q key. It shows your active quests and how far along you are.
Use the quest list properly
The quest list on the site shows every quest by level. For each quest you can see:
- Who gives it.
- Which monsters it asks for, and how many.
- The EXP and Noah it rewards.
- Any item rewards.
You can use this information to plan a route. For example, grouping quests that take place in the same area saves both time and travel. For details on zones, check the maps.
How quest tips guide you
When you follow a quest in the game, quest tips show the target on the minimap and on the big map. That way you don't have to search for a long time to find where to go.
Keep one rule in mind: the marker shows where the quest target is. To see exactly which monsters spawn where, and at what level, use the zone maps page.
Repeatable quests for steady income
Repeatable quests give you a steady income. Keeping them in mind from the early levels pays off over time.
When you plan repeatable quests:
- Mark the repeatable quests that match your level in the quest list.
- Do the ones in the same area together.
- Put quests that reward Noah or items at the top of your list.
For a wider look at ways to earn Noah, read our Noah farming guide.
Do quests in a party
Quests can be done alone, but they go much faster in a party. For how the party bonus works, see the party guide. If your connection drops and you return within 5 minutes, you will be taken back into your party automatically.
For more on partying and fast-leveling strategies, read our fast leveling guide.
Know where to find the targets
Many quests ask for specific monsters, so knowing where they are makes things easier. We cover mob locations and levels in our leveling spots guide.
If a quest also gives an item, check which monsters drop that item on the drop list. That way you won't need extra hunting to get what you need. We cover drops in more detail in our drop list guide.
Use the quest list and the map together
The most efficient way is to open the quest list and the map side by side. First, find quests that match your level in the list. Then go to the NPC who gives the quest and accept it. Follow the target on the minimap; the marker guides you as you get closer. Once you finish, check your reward and go back to the list to choose the next suitable quest.
Choose the order of your quests
There is no fixed rule for the order, but a simple approach makes things easier. Start with quests that give EXP and Noah and are close to where you are. Finish quests that reward items once you know which monsters drop those items. Leave repeatable quests for your free time, when they fit your level. This way your route is shorter and every quest is worth more.
Common mistakes
New players often make a few quest mistakes:
- Hunting monsters before reading what the quest asks for.
- Visiting the same area many times instead of grouping quests there.
- Ignoring quests that reward items.
- Never trying repeatable quests.
To avoid these, review the quest list each time you level up.
Quests and leveling up
Quests are one of the most regular sources of leveling up for your character. On ChromeKO, quests are spread across levels from 1 to 80, so each level brings its own set of quests. EXP from quests is shared in a party, so doing quests with friends also helps you level up.
Get the most out of your quest rewards
Don't spend the Noah you earn from quests without a plan. For example, the Genie Hammer, which the Noah Merchant sells for Noah, is one way to use Noah for Genie time; you can read about it in our Genie guide. If you plan to upgrade, try the upgrade simulator first to see the rates without risking anything.
When to ask for help
If you don't understand how a quest works, first read the quest description in the list and the hint on the map. If you are still stuck, ask clan members or the people in your party.
