What Is Knight Online? A Simple Guide for Newcomers

In short: What is Knight Online? It is an MMORPG built around two nations, Karus and El Morad, who fight each other, with PvP, clans and castles at its centre. Players choose one of five classes (Warrior, Rogue, Mage, Priest or Kurian) and advance through the zones.

What is Knight Online? It is a multiplayer role-playing game (MMORPG). You join one of two nations, choose a class, hunt monsters, complete quests and fight other players in PvP. To see it for yourself, you can try it now as a guest.

What is Knight Online? The war of Karus and El Morad

At the centre of the game are two nations, Karus and El Morad, in constant war. The nation you choose decides which zones you visit and which enemies you meet. For the differences, read Karus or El Morad.

Nation wars such as Lunar War, and events such as Border Defense War, test the strength of both sides. To take part you need more than strength alone: you act together with your clan and your party.

Knight Online classes

  • Warrior: A melee fighter at the front who takes the hits.
  • Rogue: Played as an archer or an assassin; fast and lightly armoured.
  • Mage: Casts magic from range; strong damage, little defence.
  • Priest: Heals and strengthens the party.
  • Kurian: The fifth class, between Warrior and Priest; fights with a spear and supports the group.

For more detail, read Knight Online classes.

PvP, parties and clans

Fighting happens against monsters and against other players. PvP is the part where players fight each other, and zones such as Ronark Land stand out for it. You can form a party and share EXP. Clans have their own capes and a clan ranking; follow them on the clan ranking and the player ranking.

Castles, kings and events

Each nation has a king, chosen by election. The owner of Delos castle is a clan. The state of the castles, kings and nation wars is on the war page.

Border Defense War (BDW), Chaos, Juraid Mountain, Lunar War and Castle Siege (Delos) set the rhythm of the game. The times are on the events page.

Quests and maps

The game opens with quests, which give EXP, Noah and items. The quest list (Q) shows your targets, and the maps show where the monsters are. The anvil simulator lets you try upgrades without spending Noah.
