Knight Online Classes: Which One Fits Your Playstyle?
In short: The five classes on ChromeKO are Warrior, Rogue, Mage, Priest and Kurian. Which one fits you depends on whether you prefer hunting alone or playing in a party, since your class also decides your role in a party.
Knight Online classes decide what you do in the game and which role you play in a party. ChromeKO has five classes: Warrior, Rogue, Mage, Priest and Kurian. This guide compares the roles of the first four and explains which playstyle each suits. Kurian has its own Kurian guide. To see the game for yourself, try it now as a guest without signing up.
Knight Online classes: start with your playstyle
Before you choose, ask yourself three questions:
- Will you mostly hunt alone, or with a party?
- Do you prefer fighting at the front, or supporting from behind?
- Are you interested in PvP, meaning battles against other players?
The answers make the right class clearer. Below is each class's general role. The game's own class descriptions are also worth reading.
Warrior: front line and durability
The Warrior holds the front line of close combat and often forms the core of a party. For its durability, the pace of solo hunting and its place in PvP, see the Warrior guide.
Rogue: speed and agility
The Rogue is a fast, agile class that plays in two styles, as an archer or as an assassin. The Rogue guide helps you compare the two and see which suits you.
Mage: ranged magic
The Mage attacks from range with fire, ice and lightning, and its defence is weak. Positioning decides how well it plays; the details are in the Mage guide.
Priest: healing and support
The Priest heals and supports the party, and it can fight up close with a mace when needed. For the details of its role in keeping a party alive, read the Priest guide.
Solo or party?
Hunting alone or in a party changes your role in the group. Shared EXP, the drop bonus and the rule for a disconnected member are all explained in the party guide. If you prefer hunting alone, the solo notes in each class guide are a good place to start.
What to consider for PvP
PvP class choice depends on your style and reactions. A fast, mobile class and a sturdy or ranged one feel very different in a fight. Check the events page for when events happen, and read our nation choice guide for sides.
Choose based on your friends
If your party already has a front-line character, a support or ranged class balances the group. Ask clan mates which roles are open. Our clan guide explains how to find and join a clan.

Common mistakes when choosing
The most common mistake is choosing only from a friend's advice or a list. A class picked without knowing your own playstyle may feel dull in the early levels. Another is picking a PvP-focused role when you don't enjoy PvP. Copying a friend's class exactly can leave the party with too many similar roles.
A simple way to find your class
Read the game's class descriptions and pick the two that interest you most. Try your first quests with each one, and notice which role feels natural. This works much better than deciding from a list alone.
Your first levels
Once you have picked a class, your first levels are the time to test how it feels. Notice which quests are comfortable and which feel hard. Learning a class takes time, so a few quests of trial are better than rushing the decision.
