New Knight Online Server: How to Start from Zero

In short: A new Knight Online server is one where progress has just begun for everyone. ChromeKO opened in October 2026, so players starting from zero can found or join a clan and take part in the first events, castles and kings early on.

A new Knight Online server is one where progress has just begun and everyone is taking their first steps together. ChromeKO opened in October 2026, and everyone starts from zero, so clans, the ranking and the first events are taking shape now. To see the game first, try it now as a guest; no sign-up needed.

What is the advantage of starting on a new Knight Online server?

On a new server everyone begins from the same point. Clan structure, the ranking and the nation and castle picture are still forming, so an early player can find it easier to found a clan or join one, and experiences the first stage of events.

Another advantage is progressing at your own pace. Every decision is yours: which side you fight for, which class you start with, and how much you play each day.

Day one: step by step

  1. Sign up. Open your account on the free sign-up page. Registration takes about a minute and is free.
  2. Start the game. On chromeko.com, press "Play." The first start loads the game into the browser once; later starts are quicker.
  3. Pick your nation. Karus or El Morad. Karus has Luferson Castle and El Morad has El Morad Castle. To compare the two, read Karus or El Morad.
  4. Choose your class. Warrior, Rogue, Mage, Priest or Kurian. For a class that fits your play style, see the classes guide.
  5. Start the quests. Starter quests in Moradon cover the 1-5 range, for example "The Worms at the Gate." Each quest's location and EXP are on the quest page.

Priorities for your first week on a new server

For someone new, what matters most is progressing steadily. Keep an eye on these:

  • Quests: Quests from level 1 to 80, one-time and repeatable, give EXP, Noah and items. Quest targets are shown on the minimap and the big map.
  • Events: The events calendar shows which events exist. The GMs set the times, and they appear only on that page.
  • News: Patch notes and announcements are published on the news page. That is the first place to hear about a change.
  • Weekend bonus: On Saturday and Sunday, EXP is boosted by 25%. Plan your weekend play around it.
  • Party: Party members share EXP. For the drop bonus and the rules for rejoining a party, see the party guide.

Nation, class and clan: the first big decisions

On a new server, your first big choices are your nation and class. Think about which side you want to fight for and which play style you enjoy. Then turn to clans: the clan guide explains how to found or join one, and clan capes and the clan ranking are on the clan page. A clan you found or join early lets you prepare for events and castle battles together.

Levelling, rankings and castles

Killing monsters alongside your quests is the most natural way to progress on a new server. The leveling spots guide and the map page show which zones suit which levels. For automatic hunting, read the Genie guide: its time comes from the PUS Store or from the Genie Hammer, which the Noah Merchant sells for Noah. Party members share EXP, so hunting together makes the early levels easier.

Keeping track of the server

The ranking page and the clan ranking let you compare your progress with other players. For your nation's castle and king, look at the war page; for the Delos castle's owner and tax, read the castle siege guide. To see how kings are chosen, read the king election guide. You don't need to learn all of it in one day; following one topic each week is enough.

Frequently asked questions

What should I do on my first day on a new server?

Sign up, create your character, finish your first quests and check the events calendar. Following the news is also a good habit.

Does starting later mean falling behind?

On a new server everyone starts from the same point, so you are not late. You can progress at your own pace and follow the standings on the ranking page.

Can I play solo on a new server?

Yes. Party members share EXP, though, so joining a party in the early levels is worth it. For the rules, see the party guide.

How do I choose a class?

Think about your play style: long range or melee, party play or solo. The differences between the classes are explained in the classes guide.

Where should I level?

It depends on your level. The map page shows the monster level range of every zone, so pick the zone that matches yours.

Is my computer good enough?

The game runs in the browser, so at least 4 GB of memory is enough; 8 GB makes play smoother. For details, see the system requirements article.

When should I look for a clan?

Finding a clan early is the easiest way to build a team for events. The clan guide explains how to found or join one.
